“Vincit qui se vincit”

I’m back again with the phrases.

Been thinking about this one a lot over the weekend. I’ve had a really quiet weekend where I’ve felt a little demotivated.

Vincit qui se vincit translates to “He conquers who conquers himself” which basically means it’s you against yourself.

If you can conquer yourself, all of your flaws, your weaknesses and everything like that then you’re on to the road to becoming a better person.

For some reason, I think a lot of people refuse to look at or ignore themselves when it comes to the question of why they’re not progressing. They’re quick to blame everything else but before they blame themselves.

Every single one of us should be on a quest of being the best versions of ourselves that we can possibly be. The aim of conquering yourself isn’t an easy one, it’s not supposed to be but it is the greatest thing you will ever do.

Conquering yourself starts with taking an audit of the things you do well and the things you do not so well. Once you do that, you can make a plan to move forward with.

Conquer yourself and your life will change beyond recognition. You will become the person you never thought you could.
